We know…
While summer won’t officially begin for a few weeks,
as you may have guessed,
we are already gearing up for…
GRAND SUMMER FUN!
We are so happy to be getting ready to say HELLO to the month of June
and the promise of all the summer goodness to come!
We’re also thrilled to welcome YOU back to OGL, too!!
Yesterday we (Laurie and Laura) got together at our favorite watering hole
(our nearby Caribou Coffee for any locals reading this)
and we spent time catching up and then planning for the summer ahead!
It’s always so good to be together
and we always leave with still more to talk about and more ideas swirling in our heads!
In fact, we are somewhat amazed at how in sync we often seem to be…

Now… on to today’s topic!
We 🩵 summer!
When we were teaching and raising our children
we were so blessed to have summers off to spend with our own Littles!
It was (and continues to be) a favorite time of the year!
Now, as GRANDS, we know that many of our readers
often care for their grandchildren regularly.
With summer quickly approaching,
we also know that many GRANDS are called on more frequently
to provide needed childcare for these special Littles!
Likewise, many moms and caregivers are at home,
wondering how to fill those long summer hours, day after day!
WE’RE HERE TO HELP!
We’ve got a lot of ideas (What??? Imagine that?)
and
we are excited to share our summer plans for Our Grand Lives with you all!
During the months of June and July, we’ll publish a new post each Thursday.
when we’ll provide 3-4 simple and fun activities
to try with your Littles during the summer ahead!
We plan to call this series
Look for us to share a variety of easy ideas that you can then recreate at home.

Our goal - then and now - is to give you a toolbox of ideas that you can pull from as needed during a given day, throughout the week or, perhaps, a week or weekend spent with your Littles!

What a great idea, I look forward to reading your summer activity posts. My kids are a little older now but I remember feeling lost during the summer holidays when they were smaller trying to think of fun things to do that they would enjoy.
